Goal 4 of the MI Action Plan
The Ideas and Innovators workstream, led by the Mission Innovation (MI) Secretariat, highlights solutions and innovators that are accelerating clean energy innovation. The main objectives of this workstream are to:
- Highlight the impact of MI members’ investments in clean energy innovation;
- Raise the profile and visibility of impactful clean energy innovation ideas; and
- Generate excitement and raise public awareness around the transformational potential of clean energy innovation.
MI Champions Program
The MI Champions Program1 celebrates exceptional researchers and innovators who are accelerating the clean energy revolution by developing novel ways of making energy cleaner, cheaper and more reliable by using it more efficiently. MI Champions was launched at MI-3 in Malmö, Sweden and the first cohort of these MI Champions was officially presented at MI-4.
MI Solutions identifies new research, development or demonstration breakthroughs emerging from MI members’ investments that have the potential to significantly accelerate the delivery of clean and affordable energy by 2020.
